It all started THREE years ago with a man, a plan, and a beer. Well a lot has changed since that first meeting at Commonwealth Brewery. This birthday celebration won't look quite like it did the past couple of years, but we still have that man, that plan, and PLENTY of beer! Join us to hear from Jay Walker, Ph.D. He's an Assistant Professor of Economics and Old Dominion University and he helps put together the State of the Region Report every year. He spoke to us last October and it was definitely one of our best meetings! We're so excited he agreed to come back and we can't wait to talk to him about our unique area. Alex WinfieldAlex Winfield is a real estate agent, investor, speaker, and entrepreneur. He wanted to create a more relaxed atmosphere to network, learn about, and discuss real estate. So he founded Hopportunity in October of 2017. Since then, Alex has held a meeting at different local breweries every month. 
shawn bowenShawn is a wholesaler, rehabber, and money lender. He has been working with Alex on Hopportunity almost since the beginning when Alex asked Shawn to speak at one of the meetings. 
cameron petersCam is a wholesaler and landlord. Cam first started coming to Hopportunity meetings in May 2019. He learned a ton from the various speakers and enjoyed some pretty good beer! Now he's spearheading meetings on the Hampton Roads Peninsula to bring "real estate and beer!" to people on his side of the water! podcast |
